Who we are?
We will transform sexual health counselling and therapy for women’s cancer patients and survivors in Rwanda. Indeed, despite treatments cervical and breast cancer patients and survivors still experience, reduced libido, vaginal stenosis, and vaginal dryness which expose them to higher rates of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
Why Rapid Action
The extend to the problem is significant and requires rapid action. In Rwanda, breast and cervical cancers are the most common among women of reproductive age.
2 Major Types of Cancers
With improving cancer awareness and treatment modalities, women with breast and cervical cancer are living longer than they ever have.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is the cancer that originates from breast cells mutating, multiplying, and forming a tumor.
Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor of the cervix, the lowermost part of the uterus (womb).
What we offer
We provide guidance on how to best support women experiencing violence and how to integrate their partners in healthcare.
Therapy
We provide therapy for the patients of cancer and also provide cancer treatment modalities, and training oncology medics.
Consultation
We provide consultation for breast and cervical cancer survivors who are experiencing sexual and gender-based violence from the beginning of their cancer journeys.
